Tag! You're It!

Wow, it's my first ever meme. I'm excited. And scared. I'm exscareded. That is also neglecting to say that I hadn't quite worked out what a meme was until Bethany tagged me =).

Bethany from Born Liar just tagged me, so I guess it's time to fill out this form.

The instructions:

1. Remove the blog from the top, move all blogs up one, and then add yourself to the bottom.
Sir Paul McCartney & The Beatles guest band purplemelon
The Process of a Miracle
Backwoods Drifter
Born Liar
dykalicious
2. Give five answers to the following ten questions.
3. Pass this meme on to five fellow bloggers.

The Questions

What were you doing ten years ago?

1. Working out that liking girls meant I was gay (go figure - no one called me sharp)
2. Studying Science at Adelaide Uni (well, not really studying - I dropped out).
3. Being very unhappy and shutting myself away from the world.
4. Writing poetry (isn't that what you do when you're 18 and unhappy?).
5. Thinking (way too much thinking - I wish my brain had an off switch sometimes).

What were you doing one year ago?

1. Coming out of the closet (in general - my family and close friends already knew).
2. Sorting out my headspace and starting to like and respect myself a hell of a lot more (yes it took 10 years).
3. Improving my relationships with friends, family, hell - everyone.
4. Taking chances with girls (and failing, but at least I started getting out there).
5. Getting into my job more.

Five snacks you enjoy:

1. Lime and cracked pepper chips.
2. Sushi rolls (if I can get / be bothered making them).
3. Ice cream.
4. Bananas.
5. Heinz tinned spaghetti.

Five songs you know the lyrics to:

1. Faith - George Michael (my new favourite Karaoke song - yes I'm a Karaoke fan, and I have even been known to sing stone cold sober).
2. Better than Icecream - Sarah McLaughlin - Beautiful, sexy, and since watching 'Better than Chocolate' a sort of unofficial lesbian anthem for me.
3. Three Little Birds - Bob Marley - SNAP! I love this song, but possibly 'No Woman No Cry' comes first in my heart.
4. 9 to 5 - I would love to be able to sing this at Karaoke but it might be taken the wrong way by the big boss. =)
5. Mr Jones - Counting Crows - Great song, very sexy, and I love to sing it.

God, I just realised how sad I seem. They are all ancient songs. I need to listen to more top 40 - =S (I kid - ewww).

Five things you would do if you were a millionaire:

1. Quit my job - don't get me wrong, I love it, but there is some stress going on right now which I can do without.
2. Buy couple of houses - one to live in, one so I can live off the rent.
3. Send mum and dad on a proper overseas holiday and pay someone to manage Dad's farm while he's gone.
4. Help set my brothers up.
5. Go back to Uni and study writing - and do it!

Five bad habits you have:

1. Procrastination!
2. I drink a fair bit - it's how socialising is done up here.
3. I let other people's opinions affect how I feel (though not how I act).
4. Caffeine - this is my curse!
5. Starting things and never finishing them (another one I have in common with Bethany).

Five things you like to do:

1. Cook for people (it's fun, and it lets me go all out - something I don't do when cooking for myself).
2. Going down the pub / club (possibly why I drink so often - though it's usually light beer I still get pissed. At least I save money being a Cadbury*).
3. Sauna - yes it's a verb too, I'm sure of it. I'm addicted to this, but it's a good thing.
4. Write (mostly for my blog at the moment, but I am doing other stuff too).
5. Hang out with mates and just relax.

Five things you would never wear again:

1. Pretty shoes - funky yes, but never, ever, again will I wear pretty shoes (it's been ages anyway). This includes high heels (the first and last time I nearly broke my neck).
2. Short dresses, skirts, or even shorts (sorry Becky. =p
3. Pale colours when drinking red wine (I don't hold out much hope of this being true, but let's hope).
4. A pink skirt with ruffles (now this implies that I have worn a skirt with ruffles - but in my own defence It was the 80s and my mother did my shopping).
5. My own vomit (shuddup - it was my birthday and people kept buying me shots - Santa even bought me tequila - I guess I to onto the nice list somehow =D).

Five favourite toys:

1. This laptop *hugs*.
2. My mobile (pity my phone company doesn't love me back).
3. My PS2, eyetoy and dance mat - so funny. I rarely play alone, but it's great when I have friends over.
4. Kitchen appliances (especially when they make it easier to cook)
5. My other computer - especially all the Karaoke songs on it (*gasp* - she does Karaoke at home - that's just sad. But yes, I do, and I love it. It really is great stress relief).

Five things you hate to do:
1. Clean - gah! I hate it, but love when it's done.
2. Iron - so I mostly don't do it. Occasionally I might iron a dress shirt if I'm going out and want to impress someone.
3. Talk to people I dislike. There are few people I actively dislike, but being someone who wears their heart on their sleeve means I find it hard to talk to them and hide my feelings. I can do it, but I feel like a liar.
4. Get out of bed (especially this morning, hell it was cold!).
5. Make the first move - I hate it, I suck at it, but it seems to be left up to me *sigh* - maybe that should tell me something.

Tag five more bloggers:
1. Marty at Marty Bananna.
2. Amber at "Blog" is a dumb word - because that's probably the only way we're going to get another blog out of her.
3. Becky from Girl in Short Shorts because I mentioned her in this meme.
4. Vic from What is it with dykes and guitars.
5. Witchtrivets from Deliver us from weasels.
